I am a seasoned Web Team Lead and Project Lead at REDspace, based in Bedford, Nova Scotia, where we build streaming solutions for large media companies. Outside of work, I'm passionate about exploring the great Canadian outdoors—whether it’s hiking, camping, or fishing. With a robust expertise in web technologies, I specialize in JavaScript/TypeScript (React, NextJS), UI component libraries, PostgreSQL, Node.js, OTT Platforms, and web video streaming technologies (HLS, DASH, WebRTC, Codecs, DRM). I use my experience with these technologies and frameworks to quickly build prove a POCs or build an MVP. With my previous work in design, I have a keen eye for good UX and pixel perfect pages. Recently, I have begun expanding my expertise into the realm of business development, working to forge new partnerships and drive growth within the tech industry. This new role allows me to blend my technical acumen with strategic business initiatives, creating value and innovative solutions for clients and stakeholders. In addition to my technical and business leadership, I bring seven years of leadership experience from serving in the Navy. This background has instilled a strong sense of discipline, strategic planning, and the ability to thrive under pressure—qualities that I leverage daily in the tech industry. Throughout my career, I have been a part of dynamic teams developing large-scale web applications and video streaming services. My portfolio includes collaborative projects with leading industry giants such as Apple, WarnerMedia, ViacomCBS, PBS, Turner, Corus, Sinclair Media Group, Sony, and Cartoon Network. Notable projects I’ve worked on include Bleacher Report Live, WarnerMedia TOP player, PBS Kids Samsung App, PBS General Audience Samsung App, NewsOn Web Streaming Platform, PlayShow Jeopardy, and the Thank You Canada by History. I am known for my creativity, innovation, and self-sufficiency. My commitment to excellence is complemented by strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. I am dedicated to continuous learning and enjoy enhancing my technical expertise, sharing insights through tech talks, and engaging with the local tech community.
