Kathy has a BSN from the University of Maryland and a MSN and PhD in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania. She has been a leader in healthcare for more than 40 years with experiences including military service, clinical practice, college teaching, administration, speaking, and consulting. She has written more than 90 articles. She and her husband are the co-authors of 29 books with translations in French, Chinese, Korean, Greek, Spanish, Polish, and Portuguese. Nearly 2 million copies of the P••• & P••• "Mosby’s Diagnostic and Laboratory Test Reference" have sold worldwide. Kathy has published "The Nurse’s Etiquette Advantage," which won a 2015 AJN Book of the Year Award. She is also a contributing author of "Chicken Soup for the Nurse’s Soul."
