Desmond is a two-decade veteran in the Banking Industry, having served at some of the most illustrious banks in the region and locally. Most recently, he was the Managing Director and Head of Group Lifestyle Finance & Digital Ecosystems at Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation with regional responsibilities. Prior to joining OCBC, he was the Executive Vice President at TACHONG Bank Ltd in Taiwan, and prior to that, Desmond lived and held several managerial roles for Global Groups across the Asia region, including Citibank Singapore, DBS Bank Ltd and Thai Military Bank (TMB PLC). On a personal investment front, Desmond owns APLUS Integrated Marketing Limited, a pharmaceutical supplies outfit that specializes in disposable drapes, gowns & medical protective gears, supplying to various hospitals groups and governments, across the Southeast Asia region. He is also a shareholder and serves on the board of Mecotech (Taiwan), an omni Channel Medical Rehab Centre with AI Tech. On the Crypto & Blockchain front, Desmond is Advisor & Shareholder at VC Plus & Custody Plus, a fresh-faced, up and coming listed player in the exciting crypto & Blockchain space. He also founded BCXX Limited, an outfit leveraging on Blockchain technology to build front-end custodian and exchange applications for crypto and other digital currencies. On the Wealth Management front, Desmond is an Advisor and Co-Founder to Node Asset Management Pte Ltd, a wholly self-funded company formed and managed by a group of veteran Singaporean bankers with a combined experience of over a hundred years in the areas of retail banking, treasury, capital markets, and risk management. Node offers digital asset derivatives to high-net-worth individuals who wish to participate in the emerging digital assets space to grow their wealth Desmond is a proud alumni of Stanford Graduate School of Business (2014), and holds a Bachelor of Economics & Finance from Curtin University of Technology. He also serves as an advisor to Included Learning, a local inclusion-first capacity building social enterprise working in the STEM and AI sector
