Alma has completed her M.A. in Security Studies from Georgetown University and her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Washington. During her time at Georgetown, Alma focused on human trafficking, energy security, counterterrorism, and Middle Eastern warfare. She contributed original research to the human trafficking field when she completed her thesis on human trafficking and the terrorism nexus. Additionally, Alma has dedicated much of her education to studying different regions of the world and their various cultures. She is well versed in Latin American, Middle Eastern, and Northeast Asian history. Before attending Georgetown, Alma participated in two General Assembly terms at the United Nations working under the Bosnian Ambassador H.E. Mirsada Čolaković. As a child Alma fled the Bosnian Civil War and has since been deeply committed to philanthropy. Alma is passionate about aiding human trafficking victims and refugees, Sexual Reproductive Health, adolescent health and fighting global poverty.Alma’s specialties include: Policy analysis, Research Methodology, International Security and Affairs, Advocacy, Red Teaming, Target State Analysis, Traditional and Agile Project Management
