Novita is a licensed Indonesian advocate with a strong passion for environmental issues and policy. Her career spans diverse roles across corporate law, social entrepreneurship, development and think tanks, environmental policy, and carbon project development. She has held positions at respected institutions including the World Resources Institute Indonesia, Indonesia’s national agency for REDD+(BP REDD+), the American Bar Association, and Wildlife Works Indonesia. In addition, she has volunteered with the Social Corporate Lawyer Society, a network of legal professionals committed to pro bono corporate law services. Novita holds a Master of Global Affairs and a Master of Laws, both completed with a full scholarship. In 2024, she re-entered law firm practice by joining AFS Partnership, where she launched and now leads the ESG & Climate Change practice as Partner. Her current work focuses on the intersection of climate change, market-based conservation, and the legal frameworks surrounding carbon. She is committed to bridging the gap between conservation imperatives and the commercial dimensions of carbon project development, aiming to integrate environmental integrity with legal innovation.
