About
On the record
I'm an award-winning writer, editor and communications specialist with a versatile skill set and work published in such places as the National Post, Toronto Life, Essential, and all kinds of literary magazines. I have experience editing, writing and leading communications for organizations across non-profit, government, education, travel, entertainment and publishing. I'm a poet and novelist who has been awarded numerous grants from Ontario Arts Council, Toronto Arts Council and Canada Arts Council. In 2013, I was awarded the Bronwen Wallace Award for Emerging Writers from the Writers' Trust of Canada, and in 2015 I published my first book Decline of the Animal Kingdom (ECW Press), which was noted as a Top 100 Book of the Year by both the National Post and the Globe and Mail. I'm currently working on a novel and short story collection; my creative research interests are rewilding, de-extinction, radical mycology, objectum sexuality, eco sexuality, witchcraft, herbalism, Latvian/Baltic paganism, futurism, post-humanism cults, interspecies co-dependence, the moon and more.
