I didn’t just started my work in procurement, I found something I really enjoy: solving problems and making things work behind the scenes. Over the last 20+ years, I’ve handled tasks from handling purchase orders in busy shipyards in India to leading international procurement for fleets of jack-up barges working across the Middle East, Europe, China, and the US. One thing I’ve learned along the way is that procurement isn’t just about buying things, it’s about building trust, fixing problems, and adding value that keeps operations running smoothly. Along the way, I’ve proven myself in various situations like saving over AED 1.5 million, making supply chains more efficient, or guiding teams through tough situations, I’ve always enjoyed my work. My vast experience helps me do my best work even when things get tricky - mobilizations, dry dockings, or last-minute repairs don’t stress me out. They motivate me. I’ve worked in offshore oil & gas, marine, defense, and shipbuilding, and I’ve seen how the right plan and a strong team can turn tight deadlines into success stories. But I believe what truly keeps me motivated are the people - the teams I lead, the vendors I work with, and the colleagues I collaborate with across the world. In the end, procurement is all about relationships, and I take pride in being someone others can count on. I enjoy finding solutions and handling challenges.
