Skills & Demonstrated Abilities Cost Savings – Realised a 9% cost saving due to strategic stakeholder engagement; Implemented software which reduced cost and increased profit; Reduced OPEX by implementing staff training. Marketing Acumen – Played a key role in getting the lodge from literally unknown on TripAdvisor to being the 7th best lodge out of 322; Tripled hotel revenue through a strong focus on client engagements; Improved conversion of prospects into customers and upselling avenues by identifying and negotiating outsourcing of specific functions of the hotel which led to a substantial increase in actual bookings. Additional Revenue Streams – Created the repetitive corporate revenue segment which made up 15% of monthly turnover through identifying the right companies to target, courting them and designing packages that were based on their needs. Efficiency Optimisation – Increased productivity and efficiency by being highly involved in management of all departments of the lodge through proper training and support programmes; Increasing efficiency and company revenue by suggesting & leading the transition to a hotel operation and booking system and better revenue management platform. Profit Generation – Turned the lodge from loss making into a profitable business; Played an instrumental role in preparing the lodge and the brand for sale to an international group that bought it together with additional properties. The lodge brand was so powerful that the group’s strategy was changed to be built around the branding we created.
