As a Program Officer at the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) Kenya, I engage in research projects in the area of public policy, with a focus on international trade and development. I have over four years of experience in policy analysis, writing, and advocacy, and I have contributed to several publications, articles, and blogs on business and economics issues in Kenya and the region. My main objective is to inform Kenya's position in trade negotiations and influence the formulation of development-oriented trade policies. I do this by monitoring, identifying, and examining the impact of multilateral, regional, and bilateral trade agreements on Kenya; facilitating policy discourse, debates, and reporting on trade issues; and influencing the development of appropriate trade policies based on research. I am passionate about using evidence-based policy solutions to address the challenges and opportunities of trade and development in Kenya and beyond.
