I am a 34 year old Trinidadian designer with a BFA from SCAD Industrial Design (ID) program, as well as a minor in Interaction Design (IxD). I am currently challenging my carpentry certification. I have over a decade of experience in post production and motion media. I specialized in certain aspects of the industry that would enforce my journey of design. My philosophy is enriched by travel and experience, this allows us to absorb semantics from our fellow beings, receive creative epiphanies, and act upon it. Design is emergent, we need to thoroughly understand and analyze the past in order to innovate. As a young designer, I am a firm believer of mistakes and I savor challenges to feed my voracious appetite for an obstacle. Design is about collaboration and maintaining a harmony between skill sets. After college, I moved over to the Bay Area because of the mindset and determination of the people. I spent the latter half in the Silicon Valley, where I held a UX design consultancy position for Applied Materials. In July 2013, I moved back to my homeland Trinidad, to establish a studio that changed the face of design in our nation. A collaborative studio that maintains its culture through user centric & innovative strategies.
