In the ever-evolving landscape of genomics and bioinformatics, I found my passion: transforming complex data into actionable insights that improve lives. With over a decade of experience, I’ve worked across clinical genomics, genome data analysis, and molecular genetics-bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and real-world healthcare applications. My journey began with unraveling the mysteries of DNA-modulating proteins, earning recognition as an award-winning researcher. Since then, I have advanced into a versatile scientist, leading projects that span: • Large-scale multi-omics: WGS, WES, RNA-seq, methylation, and integrative analyses. • Clinical genomics & diagnostics: Variant classification (ACMG), prenatal and pediatric genetic screening, precision oncology, and rare diseases. • Pipeline development: Designing scalable, reproducible workflows (Nextflow, Snakemake, Docker, Kubernetes) for clinical and research use. • Computational biology & AI: Molecular dynamics simulations, GWAS, and unsupervised machine learning for biomarker discovery. Currently, as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar, I lead multi-omics studies (genomics, transcriptomics, pharmacogenomics, nutrigenomics, and methylome) on preterm birth and rare genetic disorders, while contributing to translational initiatives such as genomic newborn screening and pediatric cancer predisposition. Using third-generation omics technologies, my research investigates both genetic and environmental drivers—including nutrition, infections, maternal comorbidities, environmental exposures, and healthcare disparities—to better understand maternal and neonatal health risks and enable targeted interventions that improve outcomes for mothers and children.
