Future doctor and lifelong learner. I'm a fourth-year student at St. George's University School of Medicine, currently completing elective rotations, with dreams of matching into a surgical residency program. While others may want to handle day to day cases with better hours, I want to help people who do not have an equal opportunity to access health care as well as people who I can follow and build patient-physician relationships with throughout their medical journey. People whose journey may not be typical. My experience in hospitals and various medical facilities along with personal endeavors has brought my attention to cases involving pediatric plastic surgery. Each summer of college I would finish an internship that left me with more knowledge than when I entered. They have taught me the importance of advocating for patients, working with others to achieve a common goal, and that there is always more to learn.
