I am a lecturer at Vinnuháskúlin, teaching mathematics, engineering disciplines, and business economics to maritime students. I have been at Vinnuháskúlin for over 11 years, sharing my knowledge and passion for these subjects with the next generation of maritime leaders. My educational background is an M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark, where I also completed courses on future energy and shipping in 2020. Additionally, I have studied finance at the Copenhagen Business School and management at the IMD Business School. I have applied my skills and expertise in various sectors, such as oil and gas, banking, and venture capital, where I have held management, CEO, and board positions. I have been involved in business development, strategy, project finance, international business, risk management, turnarounds, and governance. I am a board member at P/F Poul Michelsen, a leading food distributor in the Faroe Islands, and Effo, a major downstream oil company in the region. Furthermore, I run the investment company NM7 Sp/f.
