About
On the record
I am a Partnerships and Fundraising Officer at STEMpower, a non-profit organization that supports STEM education and skills development in Sub-Saharan Africa. With over eight years of experience in fundraising, management, and engineering, I have a strong background in resource mobilization, grant writing, project monitoring and evaluation, and budget management. I hold certifications from UNICEF and the United Nations in these areas, as well as a Master of Business Administration in Leadership and Strategic Management, and I am currently pursuing another MBA with a focus on Impact Entrepreneurship and Artificial Intelligence. In my current role, I identify and secure grants, RFPs, and RFAs from various donors and partners, such as UNICEF, the World Bank, and the African Development Bank, to fund STEM programs and projects across the region. I also provide skills development and STEM education trainings in STEM centers, and collaborate with local stakeholders and beneficiaries. Additionally, I conduct research and analysis on the impact and outcomes of the STEM initiatives, and report on the progress and challenges. My goal is to leverage my skills and expertise to advance mineral and sustainable development initiatives that improve lives through decent jobs, education, and clean water and sanitation access, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goal 6 and the African Union's Agenda 2063.
