About

On the record

Hi, I’m Charissa!(Or Chair) I’ve recently graduated from NTU’s Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information with a second major in business, where I developed my creativity, critical thinking, and understanding of business. To enhance my marketing skills, I participated in a Marketing Case Competition, where my team placed second, and in interdisciplinary competitions such as IdeasJam and the SMART 4.0 International Innovation Competition. I’ve also embraced new challenges, such as filmmaking, and became a finalist in the 2022 Singapore Mental Health Film Competition and 2024 Singapore Youth Film Festival, where we clinched Best Sound Design. At Akanga Film Asia, I gained hands-on experience assisting commercial film projects and an indie feature film. For my final year project, I directed and scripted the project, collaborating with organisations such as Conservation International and ACRES. In my roles as Publicity Director for NTU GEM Club and NTU Hall 14’s Dance Club, I gained experience in video production and social media content design. I’m skilled in public relations, corporate communications and marketing, having interned at Weber Shandwick and Mazars. I’m committed to community service, volunteering with the elderly through the ARTISAN programme and taught secondary school students at Church for 8 years. One of my most rewarding experiences was planning a drama workshop for visually impaired children, and I’m excited to continue contributing to meaningful projects. If you've read this far, a fun fact about me is despite being a little scaredy cat but I was determined to push myself and earned both my Class 3 and 2B licenses - wuhu!
