Laboratorium Działań dla Pokoju Salam Lab (November 2022- October 2023) I worked for an NGO working on the rights of refugees and excluded communities. I started my work as a Reception Department Specialist and after 5 months I was promoted to the position of Coordinator of this department. I consider this to be one of my greatest successes in my previous position. I managed a team of 6 people and dozens of volunteers. The team was multinational. I worked with people of Ukrainian, Polish, Roma and Russian origin. I used Polish, Russian and English at work on a daily basis, but I also understand spoken and written Ukrainian. I can manage my time well and the responsibilities entrusted to me. I try to distribute tasks fairly to all employees, according to their skills and character. My previous position involved stress and direct contact with beneficiaries who came to the Help Center to solve their problems. This required a lot of empathy, patience and listening skills. As a result, I developed my language and communication skills and methods of dealing with unpredictable situations. My tasks also included the function of 'outreach guide', an assistant who accompanies the beneficiaries in their daily activities outside the Help Center, helps them with translation and provides moral support. These included places such as hospitals, clinics and offices. I assisted our beneficiaries and translated meetings from Polish into Russian and English. I specialised mainly in medical and official translations, but I am not afraid of other subjects either. In addition to this, I served the beneficiaries at the reception desk at the Help Center. I performed registrations and solved their daily problems (translated documents, made phone calls on their behalf, provided information and psychosocial support). In addition, I operated the helpline and coordinated a team of workers and volunteers. Media internship, Salam Lab (June 2022- December 2022). I translated texts from English to Polish, edited and did proofreading. I created my own content and news stories for Facebook and Instagram. I have participated in trainings on human rights and migration. Translation Volunteering for refugees from Ukraine (May 2022-July 2022). I provided translation support to visitors from Ukraine at Krakow Central Station.
