Matthew is an experienced consultant with extensive experience in undertaking and managing a wide range of activities including: Performance reviews and evaluations These reviews and evaluations looked at the efficiency, effectiveness and economy of entire entities and specific programs, functions and activities within organisations. This work involved researching better practise and developing a management framework which was then used to assess the area under review. Areas examined in these reviews were many and varied including: • project management on major construction and other government projects • risk management • system security and integrity reviews • stakeholder and communication management • governance arrangements • performance assessment systems • records management • policy development and implementation • strategic planning • project management • benefits realisation • financial audits • human resource management • internal controls • just in time/lean manufacturing. Regulatory and compliance audits These reviews assessed the extent to which the organisation, activity or function under review were meeting its legislative and regulatory requirements, organisational policies, internal and external guidelines and any other relevant requirements. Investigations These investigations and special reviews involved fraud, theft, serious misconduct, inappropriate behaviour, bullying, the provision of misleading information and alleged rigged tenders. They included a very diverse range of business operations, activities and functions in a wide variety of public and private sector organisations. Matthew has been involved in other management activities, including: • establishing performance assessment systems • preparing strategic and business plans • managing projects • preparing risk management plans • preparing policies, procedures and guidance material.
