As a mechanical engineer with 15 years of experience in the HVAC sector, I have specialised mainly in the following areas: Standards and fundamentals related to the HVAC sector such as: ASHRAE, AHRI, ASME, SMACNA, OSHA, among others. Psychrometrics and thermal load calculation. Sizing and selection of air conditioning equipment both for direct expansion (DX) and chilled water for different applications (residential, commercial and industrial). Calculation and sizing of piping (both for chilled water circuits and piping for refrigerant gases). Calculation and sizing of air ducts. Calculation and dimensioning of water pumping systems for chilled water circuits. Design of control systems for automating air-conditioning installations with a focus on energy saving (selection of thermostats, automatic valves, actuators, air dampers, etc.). Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of air conditioning systems and equipment, with knowledge of carrying out diagnostics both in the field and in the project phase in order to correct deviations that may cause the system to malfunction.
