Passionate Urban Planner/Architect dedicated to shaping more just and sustainable cities and neighborhoods, with 20+ years of experience in participatory urban planning, social housing, and community development. My work focuses on implementing practical solutions to improve access to dignified housing and essential services in underserved communities, utilizing tactical urbanism and inclusive urban design approaches. As the Honorary Representative of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in the Dominican Republic, I lead efforts to support over 300 students and professionals by providing guidance and information to access postgraduate opportunities in Germany, while building bridges between institutions, cultures, and generations. I also co-founded Casita para la Vida, an award-winning housing initiative that, through community workshops and the construction of sustainable homes, promotes the right to dignified housing, technical education, and ecological construction through community participation. In 2024, I was honored with the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany (Bundesverdienstkreuz) in recognition of my long-standing commitment to social impact through education and housing for vulnerable families.
