I••• Hermann, PhD, is currently combining the position of Senior lecturer and the Head of Earth Sciences Department at the University Joseph KI-ZERBO of Ouagadougou / Burkina Faso. He did his PhD on Massive Sulphide deposit (VMS) and orogenic gold related to the Birimian system of West Africa. He has fifteen years experiences in geology and mining sector and co-authors several published papers in this domain. His is expanding his reasarch to the small scale mining in order to highlight the contribution of the academic research that aims at framing and structuring such activity and preserve environnment. He worked as consultant for BUMIGEB, Ampella, and Avocet Mining where he highlighted the role of mafic intrusions in remobilizing mineralizing fluids. He was involved in Semafo underground mine project in core logging. In order to enhance his skill by increasing chance for Mining Companies that invest in Burkina Faso, he fully played the role of senior/chief geologist and technical assistant manager with AusQuest in the Banfora Belt for Gold and base metal; all end up with discovering a volcanogenic gold mineralization style, uncommon in our system. In the same dynamic, Dr. I••• contributes through TEGECO Sarl in his position of Technical Manager to encourage companies to invest, by promoting the potential exploration leases granted by government, updates through training of field geologists. Finally he maintains good relationships with the Burkina Mine department.
