For the past 20+ years I have been the financial manager of an international health system strengthening, human resources for health and sexual and reproductive health programs in Africa, Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, South America and the Caribbean Region. This work has focused on providing financial support to individuals, communities, and local and national governments around the globe. My extensive financial management, budget development and monitoring, procurement, contracting, new business development contributing to proposals well exceeding 20 million in funding and leadership skills, makes me a well-suited candidate for this position. As a Financial Manager, I provide financial support to projects in Tanzania, South Africa, and Mozambique. I work in close collaboration with the field office financial managers and country directors, I review all financial reports for accuracy and compliance and process reports for upload into the HQ financial system. I am responsible for processing field office funds requests, developing budgets, forecasting spending and contributing to donor monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports. In addition, I track and maintain a database of all in-kind, cost share contributions. While at my current organization, I was fortunate to have an opportunity to be selected as the trainer for field office financial operations, and the primary for reviewer in preparation for field office audits. It is through this experience that I was able to utilize my leadership and management skills, providing administrative, operational, financial oversight working with a team of eight field offices. I have also had the privilege of serving on the Travel, sub-award, close-out, procurement and financial management policy committees. In addition, I developed and implemented manuals on the use of QuickBooks for field financial staff and a manual for HQ Financial staff on how to use and review QuickBooks entries for field office reporting.
