I am seeking to advance my career in the Information Technology field. Over the last 8 years, I’ve worked in the retail industry utilizing technology as a web designer to enhance marketing and sales results. During that time, I’ve also had the opportunity to engage directly with customers to assist with inquiries, orders, and issues. Working in both of these roles has allowed me to develop and refine skills in customer service, critical thinking, adaptability, problem-solving, and attention to detail. I recently decided to pivot my focus in the IT field from web design to technical support. To turn my decision into reality, I completed an intensive IT program at Merit America where I earned my Google IT Support Professional Certificate. The coursework focused on troubleshooting, customer service, networking, systems administration, operating systems, and IT security. It was developed by Google personnel and included a mix of video training, hands-on labs, and graded assessments. I am looking forward to starting a new position in the IT field where I can leverage my newly acquired IT competencies, passion for technology, and skills gained through my work experience.
