About
On the record
I received my Bachelor of Arts with Distinction from the University of Alberta in 2013, majoring in both History and Anthropology. During my final year, I worked as a Library Assistant at St. Joseph's College Library at the University of Alberta. After spending four years in Winnipeg, where I completed my Juris Doctor at the University of Manitoba in 2017, I moved back to my hometown of Edmonton. I completed my articles with McCuaig Desrochers LLP and became a general practice associate at the firm in September 2018 after being called to the Alberta Bar. While in law school, I volunteered at the University Law Centre and for Pro Bono Students Canada. During my final year, I competed in the Solomon Greenberg Jury Trial Competition in Winnipeg and the Gale Cup Moot Competition in Toronto. In 2017, I was awarded the Honorable Archibald S. Dewar Prize for Advocacy. In September 2020, I moved to Vancouver to begin my Master of Library and Information Studies and Master of Archival Studies at the University of British Columbia's School of Information, where I won the Beverly Maureen Becker Memorial Prize for reference and information services and the Diana M. Priestly Memorial Scholarship for law librarianship. During my time at the iSchool, I worked in records management, archival, public and academic library positions, and volunteered for various student associations. Having graduated in the Spring of 2023, I worked as a Children's Librarian and now work as an Information Services Librarian at VPL's Central Library.
