I believe language is a crucial part of our daily life, and very often the way we speak and write is the first impression we create. I can help to be understood. My strongest quality is a mix of business, academic and language background. Being a CEO of one of the biggest Latvian translation agencies Skrivanek Baltic and working as an Executive Area Manager of the International Division of Skrivanek Group (2003-2014), one of the biggest language solutions providers in Europe, I have gained diverse experience in international business, that helps me understand the needs of my audience and provide effective and useful training and consulting. Spending an academic year in the University of Washington (Seattle, WA), where I thought Latvian language and culture certainly helped to deepen this knowledge. ‍ Currently I work as a lecturer and researcher at the Ventspils University College, where I'm also doing my PhD in Linguistics. ‍ I am also a business writing trainer and an educator.
