About

On the record

I am a wildlife conservationist and author with a passion for protecting biodiversity and raising awareness about the threats facing wildlife in India. I have published two books on the mammals and birds of India, and I am working on my third book that analyzes the challenges and solutions for wildlife conservation in India. I am also the Managing Director of Think Wild Foundation, a non-profit organization that I co-founded with my school friends during the pandemic. We aim to capitalize on the growth of e-commerce to raise funds for conservation projects across the country, as well as alternative livelihood and research projects. I am also the host of The Think Wildlife Podcast. As a Field Assistant at Imperial College London, where I am pursuing my MS in Ecology, Evolution and Conservation, I support various long-term ecological surveys at Silwood Park. In addition, I have gained valuable research and communication skills through my internships at Monitor Conservation Research Society, Biodiversity Collaborative, Global Tiger Forum, and Nature Conservation Foundation. I am always looking for opportunities to conduct research and collaborate with other wildlife enthusiasts and professionals. I am a member of the IUCN Species Survival Commission and the IUCN CEESP, and a Scrutiny Panel Member at the University of Manchester Students' Union. I have also completed a certification course on Ending Illegal Wildlife Trade from ACAMS. I have strong attention to detail, data analysis, and writing skills, and I am fluent in English, Hindi, and Bengali.
