I am a graduate of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Burao, Class of 2024. To further enhance my expertise, I have completed several advanced online courses in areas such as Agricultural Economics, Research Methods, Project Management, Diplomacy, Leadership, Political Economy, and Institutional Development. Additionally, I have specialized in Fundraising and Development at the University of California, Davis. Professionally, I am currently a Volunteer Administrative Assistant at the Faculty of Economics and Applied Statistics at the University of Burao. Previously, I worked as an educator for five years, teaching English and math at Hajji Hussein Primary School. I also authored Helper English, a beginner-friendly book featuring English words with Somali translations and practical speaking tips, which has positively impacted hundreds of learners. Additionally, I completed an internship at The Heritage Institute of Policy Studies, where I gained expertise in research methodologies (qualitative and quantitative), SPSS data analysis, project management, and report writing. During my time there, I contributed to transcribing interviews, assisting with research, and authoring a study on the challenges young Somalis face in political participation. My research interests include exploring the challenges faced by young Somalis in political participation, economic growth, business, health, and education.
