Geologist by background with 11 years of experience working as exploration geologist in the Upstream at Galp E&P. Throughout my career I had the opportunity to work in different projects in several geographies. For 8 years I worked as seismic interpreter in exploration projects, mainly focused on West Africa (Angola and Namibia) and Brazil. This provided me an excellent hands-on job experience and the opportunity to work with diverse and multidisciplinary teams both in and outside Galp. I had the opportunity to join the Operator team of a project for 2 months with a close participation on all the technical work involved in the exploration drilling campaign which was an excellent opportunity to work close to an operation. During the period that I followed those projects I had the chance of participating in all technical meetings and workshops with the consortium which were of great value, not only technically but also business wise. In 2016 I joined the Business Development Team – New Ventures also as a geoscientist studying and evaluating new opportunities. This provided me a much broader vision of the business and the process of acquiring new projects for the company and gave me the chance of attending data rooms and following bid rounds. In 2020 I made a major change in my career detaching from the geosciences and embracing a new challenge in the Commercial Sales and Contact Center, exploring my ability to work as a team player in a completely different area much more focused in processes, results and Client oriented. The changes along my path as well as the global changes and demands we are living, showed me that all opportunities we can have to improve ourselves and to create value should be embraced with enthusiasm, feeding my curiosity and will to learn and develop new skills.
