A registered nurse with over 25 years experience in the medical field. Worked in the obstetrics and gynecology field for several years. Having specialized in labor and delivery nursing, as well OB/GYN triage nursing. For the last several years have been involved in the field of substance abuse treatment as both a staff nurse and as the Director of Nursing. Currently serving as the Director of Nursing and as a member of the management team for Blue Ridge Mountain Recovery Center (an Acadia Healthcare Facility) in Ball Ground, GA. Blue Ridge Mountain Recovery Center is a 50 bed sub-acute detoxification and short-term intensive residential facility for both adult males and females. I provide nursing leadership to a team of LPN's and RN's. I oversee and provide direct care for our medical detox and residential treatment programs. Serving as a leader in our therapeutic treatment program I work directly with the medical staff, inter-disciplinary team and our clients on a daily basis. In addition to my strong medical background I have experience in graphic and web design, as well as accounting and business management.
