Recovery Counsellor (Rcc) at Union Gospel Mission Vancouver
About
On the record
I love creating deep connections and my heart to serve others is the reason why I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor currently focused on women’s substance use recovery through a trauma-informed lens. I underwent graduate studies in Counselling Psychology at Adler University on a social justice scholarship, practiced as an Intern Clinical Counsellor at the Family Services of the North Shore, worked in outreach with women and families at Union Gospel Mission, and with at risk youth at Covenant House. I have experiences with a diverse group of people of many life journeys, which have all shaped me into who I am now. Ever since moving to Vancouver I have become acutely aware of the needs of my community, especially when it comes to poverty and addiction. My lifelong passion for music, along with a Diploma in Vocal Performance and a minor in Music & Worship Arts, are a skill set I utilize in bringing joy to those in my care. Growing up around the world has made me more open-minded to different cultures.
