After 8 years of leading biking trips in the most thrilling and breathtaking corners of the world, I started to look for new professional and personal challenges. Knowing that the experiences from the past are defining us in the way how and who we are, I don’t want anyone to be tempted to think of me only as a trip leader on week-long biking trips or just of an IT engineer. Therefore I would like to point out all the experiences and skills which could make me a more interesting candidate for your job vacancy. I’m personally inspired by sensitive and well-traveled people who possess a wide perspective on life with multiple personal and professional experiences reflected in a broad set of skills and knowledge and I’m always striving to be like them. Although the two professional worlds that shaped my life and career are so different, both of them are actually giving multidisciplinarity and a wide set of experiences and skills with many common points. As a trip leader, I obtained and fine-tuned leadership and all related skills, I speak multiple foreign languages, I’m bringing skills of public speaking, problem solving and teamwork in order to meet and exceed the highest expectations in the service industry. From my origins and current professional life, I’m bringing knowledge and skills from the IT industry which by far exceeds average computer literacy, yet at the same time experiences from sales and marketing in the logistics industry. As a part of the team, I completed several successful projects that changed the way customers were performing in their industry - Port of Koper almost doubled throughput after implementing a new Container Terminal information system and PCS (Port Comunity System) and similar solutions based on the one in Koper were sold in many other ports in the Mediterranean basin. Lastly, delivering the highest standards of service, seamlessly leading bike trips all around Europe, dealing with a complex group of people, on-site problem solving and working in the most diverse, multicultural and multilingual company with 40 + years in business, today the number one active travel company in the world, made me a better man in many ways, not just professionally or personally.
