About
On the record
After my university studies in Leiden (Dutch literature and language, Theatre and Filmstudies) I worked in the Netherlands for the Royal Theatre in The Hague and as an editor for a professional magazine (Secretariaat Management), before moving to Paris in 1991. I worked as a language teacher (1992-2005), film programmer (1993-2013) and theater programmer (2010-2013) for the Institut Néerlandais, the Dutch cultural centre in Paris. Since 1992, I regulary do translation work (French-Dutch), voice dubbing (in Dutch) and also filmsubtitling (Dutch-French). In 2013-2014, I collaborated as as a documentalist- scriptwriter for a Franco-Dutch documentary in development. I'm currently the "film intendant" for the Dutch Embassy, promoting and programming Dutch cinema in France and in Paris in particular. Between 1998 and 2014, I worked for the classical music festival "Musique à l'Emperi", as member of the board, co-organizer, film programmer and stage manager. Since 2011, I write about the political aspects of films for the blog Trop Libre.
