A passionate and strategic climate change professional with an experience of leading on campaigning, community engagement and influencing work. I currently lead on coordinating and developing a variety of environmental justice related projects at CEMVO Scotland. I have a strong belief in the power of people in creating change and use creativity and innovation to spearhead local and national community engagement initiatives, specialising in working with ethnic-minority communities. As the Environmental Projects Coordinator, I work on a diverse portfolio of projects with a focus on social and environmental causes. I am also responsible for the development and growth of new initiatives and projects at CEMVO Scotland that address racial gaps in undertaking climate action. I have a strong experience in partnership development and management and have the ability to foster strong relationships, communicate effectively, demonstrate strategic thinking, and have a track record of successful collaborations and partnerships across sectors. I am also passionate about international security, climate security, refugee crises and South Asian geopolitics. I have a background in Sociology hence, I invite discussions on the need for a sociological understanding of the climate crisis.
