A big voice for the smaller telecom player. You don’t need a big budget to have a big voice. I put my BT experience to work for you to communicate your brands and offers to your markets, prospects and customers. If you’re looking for marketing communications strategy, planning and management, including integrated campaigns across channels, contact me. Channels could mix website, blog, newsletter, publicity, and programmes for awards, speakers and conference attendance. I write and edit content for all, plus interviews, presentations, brochures, datasheets and the like. My post-graduate degree in costume design for the theatre and two years as a professional mean I manage work to strict deadlines. Costume design? There’s no tougher school of project management than the theatre. During the interview for my first job in telecoms, when asked how I felt about repairing microprocessors for billing, I said,"I work on my sewing machine" and got the job. Growing up in a military family, I travelled and learned about language and culture. An American living in France, I worked 23 years for a French company. I’m fluent in French and comfortable working in a virtual environment. We don’t have to sit side by side to work together, but I can travel to see you if you prefer to see my face. My experience in telecoms means I understand the industry. I’ve worked in customer service, marketing, network operations, and other areas. I’ve done marketing and internal comms for R&D, wholesale and consumer telecoms. I launched the customer newsletter for the BT international-wholesale business, produced and edited 44 issues, wrote and edited most articles, published on a blog as well. I created and ran a successful awards programme and the speaker-and-conference programme that grew to the biggest and longest running in BT.
