About
On the record
I have worked in the Community Sector since graduating from UCC in 2002, and have focused my career on enhancing community services. I believe that through social capital, a community can create and manage any service that is needed on the ground. Relationship between people is the driving force of any community. I have spent 11 years working on Cancer Connect, a voluntary managed, voluntary driven, community used and community funded charity. For me, managing the demand-led transport service, in line with codes of best practice, Governance guidelines and people management requires skills as varied as project management to training to fundraising to listening.
