TV show and documentary host and writer on award winning productions. A professor of ecology, evolution and environmental science with an expertise in science education and science communication, I am enthusiastic about the public understanding of science and sustainability messaging. I have recently become the first professor in the history of the University of Ottawa to be cross-appointed between the Faculties of Science and Education. Having been involved in the production of a number of tv and radio science and nature programs and documentaries, I am committed to increasing the level of science appreciation and literacy among the general public. Lastly, I am active in a number of arts organizations, having been a past director of the Ottawa Folk Festival, a member of artsScene Ottawa-Gatineau's steering committee and a current director, and currently sit as a director of the Folk Music Ontario.
