Alumni Group Facilitator at Threshold Housing Society

About

On the record

I am a Master's student at the University of Victoria studying Counselling Psychology. In addition to my full-time studies, I work as a Youth Support Worker at Threshold Housing, supporting youth with substance use challenges and housing insecurity. My role focuses on day-to-day support, life skills development, goal setting, harm reduction and crisis management. I also co-facilitate an Alumni group for youth who have graduated from Threshold's Supportive Recovery Program (SRP). Before moving into the mental health field, I spent a decade as an elite athlete on the Canadian Climbing Team, competing internationally at World Cups, World Championship events and the Pan American Games (2023). Growing up in Canmore, AB, being connected to nature has always been a central part of my life. In my spare time I enjoy climbing outdoors, skiing, mountain biking, trail running as well as coaching climbing.
