I established an Innovative Center for Preventive Medicine & Longevity inside a leading Primary HealthCare Company in Greece (Bioiatriki, SA), based on my vision of using Genomic Medicine to prevent the most prevalent chronic diseases and achieve"Precision Health"(see more detailed info under my current position). Experienced- 5+ years of experience in Healthcare Management and Science Communication in Bioiatriki SA, Athens, Greece - 10+ years as an Academic Researcher and Research Fellow in the USA (Stanford University, American Heart Association, University of Florida)- 10+ years as a Lecturer in Universities in the USA and Greece - 2 years experience as an Clinical Exercise Physiologist in a leading Corporate Wellness Company (based at the Merrill Lynch site) in Manhattan, NY, USA. Multidisciplinary: Manager in Healthcare, Specialist in Genomic Medicine & Prevention, with a strong background in Molecular Biology & Biochemistry, Science communication, Commercial strategy, marketing /communication /commercial text writing, scientific grant and research paper writing, molecular techniques, teaching. Multicultural: Has lived, studied & worked in 3 states of USA (New York, Florida and California) and 2 countries (USA and Greece). Career highlights- The launching of a commersial pipeline of Polygenic Risk Scores (PRS) for the most prevalent complex diseases. This translational step of a rather complex business model (from research to clinical application), has been done concurrently with only very few other companies around the globe- Close to launch comprehensive Pharmacogenomics services, following the latest CPIC and FDA guidelines- Obtaining funding fellowship) from American Heart Association for a research grant that I had authored and submitted-Obtaining an award $) for my research in the field of Aging Biochemistry- Publishing in top Scientific Journals such as "Science","Nature Cardiology Reviews" etc, with total citations >2,400.
