Rahul M••• has Master’s Degree in Fine Arts (Animation Concentration) from University of Cincinnati, Ohio, USA and Bachelors Degree in Architecture from University of Pune, India. Prior to Joining Zayed University Rahul has worked as an Instructor teaching Animation and Multimedia at ITT Technical Institute, Youngstown, Ohio, USA and as a part time instructor teaching Animation and Gaming Online for Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He has created various 3D animation shorts on topics such as personal identity, economic development and ecology and on personal feelings. Rahul has extensive working knowledge in 3d computer animation using industry standard software such as Autodesk Maya and 3D Studio max and Adobe flash and after effects. He started his animation career from Savannah College of art and design, where he changed his major from architecture to Animation to follow his passion to create art using new computer technology. Rahul has always been in touch with Architecture. He visits Manipal University every semester as external examiner to critique student projects in Interior Design and Architecture. He was working part time with Architects Tony Luketic in Akron, Ohio while working full time at ITT Technical Instutute, USA. Rahul has also worked as an Architect in India for two years before moving to the States for higher education. Rahul’s research interests are in new technologies in Animation and Multimedia and character development and animation. He enjoys learning new tools and techniques to enhance his skills. He has subscription to various animation tutorial websites and he also regularly attends online workshops to learn new developments in the animation field from world renowned animation experts.
