I obtained my undergraduate degree in BSc Microbiology and my BSc (Hons) Medical Microbiology degree with a distinction. My honours degree focused on virulence factors associated with Gram-positive bacteria isolated from patients with bloodstream infections at public hospitals in Tshwane under the supervision of Prof. Marthie Ehlers-van der Zel. Currently pursuing my MSc in Veterinary Science (Production in Animal Studies) focusing on molecular epidemiology of Pigeon Paramyxoviruses in South Africa since 2012 under the supervision of Prof. Celia Abolnik. Proud member of the Golden Key Honour Society in 2019.
