Programme Officer at Baobab For Women's Human Rights

About

On the record

I have always been drawn to where systems meet stories especially when it comes to women, girls, and education. At Women's Rights Advancement and Protection Alternative, I served as Assistant Project Officer on the MacArthur Foundation anti-corruption project, and also coordinated trainings for change agents under a consultancy with Women for Women International. I was not always on every project team, but I became the go-to support helping with logistics, grant documentation, donor reports, and anything that kept things running. I also led documentation for all projects, ensuring every activity, report, and funding file was organized and accessible. Later, I worked with Youth Hub Africa on a 3- month education project focused on increasing funding for basic education in Nigeria. At Topp IT, I led the refresh of our newsletter, introduced the idea of Twitter Spaces, and secured interest from 2 government parastatals through targeted outreach. I also developed a streamlined system for internal documentation, making project tracking and team collaboration much more efficient. With a solid foundation in admin and a Virtual Assistant certification (96.4% average), I am confident working with digital tools like Google Workspace, Asana, Zoho, and Canva remotely or in-office. Now, I am seeking a Project Officer role in the development sector, where I can keep combining thoughtful systems, creative communication, and field coordination to drive change that lasts.
