MD & Post-Doctor at Sahlgrenska University Hospital and University of Gothenburg. Studies cardiovascular disease. My research focuses on the phenomenon myocardial stunning (post-ischemic dysfunction) seen in conditions such as; acute heart failure secondary to myocardial infarction and Takotsubo syndrome! Myocardial cardio-protection and pre- and post-conditioning are other topics of interest! Translational research. At the moment, we have a prospective clinical study, where patients with myocardial infarction or Takotsubo syndrome are included and followed. We also have an animal model, which allows for more invasive studies!
