Upon completion of a Bachelor of Business Studies majoring in Economics and Finance, my attention turned fully towards pursuing a career in the thoroughbred sector. Having gained valuable experience in various roles within the industry, I was accepted onto the Irish National Stud Thoroughbred Breeding Course. Once graduated, I travelled to Australia to experience both the racing and breeding practices in another jurisdiction, furthering my desire to work in the industry on an international scale. In August 2020, I achieved my long-term goal of gaining a place on Godolphin Flying Start, which is a two-year scholarship programme for aspiring thoroughbred industry leaders. The programme offers its trainees the chance to study and work in five different countries, learning from thoroughbred industry leaders from all around the globe. Since graduating Godolphin Flying Start, I have began working at Rathmore Stud as Bloodstock Manager. Rathmore Stud's Owner/Manager Peter Molony has been a mentor to me throughout my journey in the thoroughbred industry, so I'm delighted to be working alongside him and I'm excited by what the role has in store.
