Executive specializing in railway-based urban development and Transit-Oriented Development (TOD), with more than 15 years of experience in Japan and abroad. At Hankyu Corporation and its group companies, I have led large-scale urban redevelopment projects in the Kansai and broader West Japan area, introduced one of the earliest startup incubation initiatives in the Japanese railway industry, and, as a corporate executive, took the lead in creating a pioneering corporate venture fund to support innovation ecosystems. My career bridges railway facility planning and development, urban planning, and venture investment, enabling me to build unique expertise in the Japanese model of TOD—integrating transportation, real estate, and community development. This model has revitalized regional economies in Japan and also offers insights into sustainable growth strategies applicable worldwide. Currently serving as Executive Officer at Hankyu Corporation and Director at Hankyu Hanshin Properties, I am driving both domestic and international projects in urban development and real estate investment, seeking opportunities to share Japan’s TOD knowledge and collaborate with global partners.
