I bridge a gap between the legal team and IT department. Unfortunate for those around me, I also spend my free-time understanding the discrepancies and challenges that arise when the law is trying to rapidly keep pace with evolving technology and digital advancements, especially in the healthcare and finance industry. I have enjoyed my many roles and experiences that allowed me to experience first hand how IT infrastructure should be implemented and the best methods that work in practice to effectively address risks without increasing the budget. I currently work with clients in the following industries- external data protection officer for a leading private hospital- external data protection officer for a leading Irish charity- external data protection officer for a voluntary general acute hospital- data privacy solutions engineer for a large Irish food wholesaler and retail company. I enjoy meeting new people and hearing new perspectives. I am constantly learning and continue to educate, drive and refine myself to be a better person. It is a lot easier to learn when I enjoy all the work that I get to do and accomplish goals along the way.
