About
On the record
I am an educator with over 20 years of experience, most of which I spent teaching in a church school setting. I hold a degree in Primary and Physical Education from the University of Malta, during which I also studied at Rowan University in New Jersey as an exchange student. That experience deepened my interest in cross-curricular and thematic approaches to education, which continue to shape my practice today. Over time, I became increasingly aware of the lack of provision for gifted, twice-exceptional, and neurodivergent learners in Malta. This inspired me to pursue a Master’s degree in Gifted Education with the goal of bridging this gap and creating inclusive opportunities where these learners can thrive. My passion lies in supporting high-potential and neurodivergent children, with a strong focus on developing executive functioning skills and socio-emotional growth. I also encourage children to explore their deep interests in fields often considered beyond their age level, nurturing their curiosity while respecting their individuality. Just as importantly, I work alongside families, helping them navigate the current educational system and advocating for their child’s needs so they feel empowered and supported throughout their journey. Today, through my work with initiatives such as Julian’s InventaLand Programme, I am committed to raising awareness, driving change, and building learning environments that recognise and nurture exceptional talent.
