About
On the record
I am a development sector professional in the making, with a passion for rebuilding local food systems through livelihood interventions. I am always on the lookout for opportunities to create synergies between community-driven initiatives and sustainable agriculture. In my current role at IFOAM-OI, I am working on an ambitious project "Himalayan Agroecology Initiative" supporting the roadmap strategy development for Bhutan, Nepal and India for scaling up Agroecology across the three countries. In my previous role at EY, I worked on advocating and promoting "International Year of Millets 2023" with the aim to bring millets back to every Indian plate while achieving both nutritional security and increasing climate resilience with just one crop. This project provided me the chance to collaborate closely with some of the most dedicated officials at the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India. I began my journey with a grassroots NGO, working to grow organic cotton among the tribal communities of Andhra Pradesh, India. Since then, it has been an interesting journey, learning about farming communities, tackling agricultural challenges, designing innovative solutions, and engaging with a diverse array of stakeholders.
