I am a program officer and analyst at Global Affairs Canada. I completed a Masters in International Studied at the University of Montreal and a joint honours degree in International Development and History at McGill University. I received a First-Class recognition at the end of my bachelor's. I specialize in gender equality, human rights advocacy, diplomacy and sustainable development research. My experience as an external affairs delegate for different organizations allowed me to develop strong leadership, communication, and event-planning skills. Regarding human rights advocacy, I was a speaker for a student conference organized by the Centre d'études et de recherches internationales de l'Université de Montréal in March 2023. I discussed the "Women, Life, Freedom" movement and the revolts of the Iranian People with a fellow Iranian colleague and highly inspirational academics who joined us. As a moderator and executive member of the Canadian International Council, I organized and moderated multiple events for the organization. I believe public speaking is key in raising awareness and creating new opportunities for discussions. In the diplomatic sphere, I represented Algeria last year as a delegate for the University of Montreal in New York and Pakistan this year as a delegate for Sciences Po United Nations. Both conferences were Model United Nations conferences and were officially recognized by the United Nations. Finally, I published two academic articles for the University of Montreal's Journal of International Affairs in the winter of 2023. My first article’s topic is environmental diplomacy & climate justice and my second article’s topic is women empowerment with climate-related data. Being trilingual, I also have a keen interest in language learning. I believe that languages are crucial to learn more about different cultures.
