About
On the record
I completed my undergraduate studies at Damascus University in 2004, specializing in Biology from the Faculty of Biology. Following that, in 2008, I pursued a Master's degree in Environmental Studies through a collaborative program between the University of Damascus and the University of Poitiers in France. In November 2021, I successfully defended my PhD in Paleontology at the University of São Paulo (USP) in Brazil. My doctoral research focused on a comprehensive examination of the characteristics of the appendicular skeleton used in early dinosaur phylogenies. The title of my PhD thesis is "A comprehensive review of the appendicular skeleton characters employed in early dinosaurs phylogenies." For a span of eight years, I served as an environmental consultant in various countries across the Arab World. Presently, in addition to my current work in Liberia as an online environmental consultant for Earthtime company and as a lab manager at Liberlab, I am also engaged as a fossil preparator and curator at the vertebrate paleontology lab on the Riberão Preto campus of USP. Moreover, I am involved in the description of fossils from Syria, specifically from the Cretaceous and Pleistocene eras
