Since 2014, I have had the privilege of being the Head of School at ISB, International School of Billund, where PLAY is at the heart of everything we do. At ISB, we nurture curiosity, creativity, and resilience. We integrate our Pedagogy of Play with the framework of the International Baccalaureate and teach children how to think – not what to think. When children are given the freedom to wonder, experiment, and take risks without fear of failure, they develop not only academic skills but the confidence and adaptability to thrive in an ever-changing world. As Head of School, I am passionate about creating and maintaining a learning environment that inspire and empower both students and teachers. Kindness, curiosity, and mutual respect is the foundation of our community and the way we approach each other – not just in learning, but in life. My deepest wish is that when students leave ISB, they carry with them an unwavering curiosity and a lifelong love of learning. Then I will know we have succeeded.
