Periklis P••• was born in Corfu, Greece. He graduated from the Hellenic Navy Academy in 1991, as a warfare officer and during his 35+ year career has served in several posts on ships and commands. He has deep knowledge and experience in the naval capabilities development and defence programs management field. He has led negotiations as the Hellenic Navy's representative with major international defence companies and managed several defence procurement programs. Recently, he was stationed at the NATO Allied Command Transformation and he was responsible for the coordination and synchronization of all of the supporting activities that implement the NATO Warfighting Capstone Concept or else NWCC. In this regard, he was also the advisor to the HQ SACT leadership and the point of contact in HQ SACT for NWCC and the NATO organizations and Nations. Before that, he was the ACT Layered Resilience Project team leader, which first introduced the concept of military resilience in NATO and its inter-dependencies with civil resilience and preparedness. Currently, he is posted as the COS at the NATO Maritime Interdiction Operational Training Centre in Crete, Greece. NMIOTC is the only fully accredited NETF focused on the maritime domain. The Centre supports not only NATO nations but brings also together Partner nations from around the Globe aiming to enhance interoperability and maritime security.
